"An Innovative Approach to Reach Challenged Youth"
Nearly all teenage students are primarily focused on tangible concepts of money and things. Since students’ interests are externally driven, our program meets students where they are. We learn and reinforce their goals, and help them learn effective ways to reach those goals.
The Blount Youth staff design the students’ academic and behavioral improvement programs to tangibly reinforce everything positive they do. Students are provided opportunities to earn cash payments through work training opportunities in multiple areas.
Training is in the students’ areas of interest and training time is earned through following school rules performance and in making academic progress. Therefore everything a student does in the program affects their bottom line for earning. This creates a positive shift in their academic performance, behavior and compliance, and improves their overall progress.
